Notary Web Application Project
A completely automated web application to implement a nation-wide notary service.
Background
Nationwide Signature Services (NSS) provides a network of independent Notaries on a national basis to enable lending institutions to close their loans quickly and efficiently, with the greatest customer convenience and satisfaction.
Each participant in NSS's network of qualified independent Notaries, coordinates and provides for document delivery as well as notary and witness services for loan document signings consistent with the lender's instructions.
This service is generally at the borrower's preferred location, and is designed to meet the needs of lenders and borrowers alike.
This Internet application supports the following features:
* web based registration of notaries;
* web based notary profile maintenance;
* web based submission of orders from lenders;
* web based order processing by the lender & notary to document loan document mailings and signature dates;
* automated E-mail & fax were programmed to document order assignments, order updates, notary instructions, notary profile changes, invoicing and reporting.
This client/server application allows the central office to maintain all aspects of the notaries, lenders and orders. All interfacing to the system by the lenders and notaries is performed through a web browser. The Notary2go.com staff uses a client server application to assist them in monitoring the status of orders and
maintaining the system.
The system architecture consists of Java servlets running on a Linux based Apache server. The back end database is Oracle 8.1.5. The office application is a Java application that runs on a Citrix server connecting to the Oracle database. JavaMail provides email and faxing is performed using an API provided by Winfax Pro.
